A big "thank you" to MANDY MURRAYfor really helping us out last Thursday evening.... That morning we were informed that the volcanic ash cloud was going to prevent one of our guests ÉAMONN Ó BRÓITHE from flying in from Ireland and Mandy stepped into the breach.
She and CREENA MULCHRONE provided an outstanding evening of traditional music and song. You can see why the pair of them have been all-Ireland champions.
Photographs of that evening - and of other recent evenings at the Royal Oak at the venture's Facebook site at http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=281251949478&v=photos&ref=ts |

3rd June 2010
Black Umfolosi 5 are famed for their incredible gumboot dance from
the South African mines. With no changing room in a packed Royal Oak
they just went ahead and did it without their boots.

Sunday 3pm - England vs. Germany vs. The monthly Sunday afternoon session in the bar of the Royal Oak in Lewes
....and the loser is.... the session. A television has been mounted behind the bar (fortunately, only for the duration of the World Cup tournament) and understandably, the landlady wants to show the match. |
